ABSTRACT: This report determines the potential effects on agricultural capability of perched ponds in reclaimed landscapes. The reasons why perched ponds develop in those areas is researched. Also, their potential to expand is assessed. Perched ponds refer to semi-permanent ephemeral ponds in hydrolical uplands which are not connected to the water table.
